Updates from the InfoSec Write-ups publication

Hello readers

First of all, we are thrilled to share this wonderful news with you — our publication InfoSec Writeups on Medium is now a 2500+ member strong community. We urge you to share the publication with fellow security researchers, hackers and anyone who you think might be interested — so they can find us and contribute their part to this growing community.

Our motto now, as it always was, is: Sharing is caring.

In other news, last month we started our very own HackInterview Series where we publish interviews with hackers and bug bounty hunters who have made an impact to the community. The aim is simple — to learn from their experiences and find inspiration from their expeditions.

For our first interview, we feature a heart-to-heart with Alyssa Herrera where she guides us through her journey of starting bounty hunting as a hobby at sixteen and ending up as one of the top-ranked hackers on Hackerone. The key takeaway from her experiences can be summed up in her own words:

I never stop trying and working towards the goal of improving myself.

If you know any hacker whose story you’d like to hear, or you’d like to be interviewed yourself, don’t hesitate to send a mail to anangsha@protonmail.com.

Do share your hacking write-ups/stories with us — we publish most submissions within 24 hours. If you are already added as a writer in the publication, it means we considered your existing articles on Medium valuable and we have welcomed you into our community of contributors. If you aren’t a writer yet and security-related write-ups are your forte, you can follow the submission guidelines and join us.

Our Slack channel is an 860 member-strong community, and we are always on the lookout for new security enthusiasts to join. So if you aren’t a part of the InfoSec Community yet, you know which link to follow.
